This version of the LED decoder offers different flashing modes:

Modern operation: All 10 outputs are connected as strobe flashes, as they nowadays are mounted on emergency vehicles. All outputs run independently (asynchronously).
Mixed operation: The outputs 1-5 represent the modern strobe flashes, the outputs 6-10 are behaving like older flashing lights.
Old operation: All 10 outputs are flashing independently, as with rotating beacons.
Regular chase:The outputs flash one after the other briefly. For construction sites.
Guide Light:The outputs turn on and off together in turn. Well suited for advertising.
Warning indicators:All outputs switch independently. In contrast to effect 3 ("old operation"), the lamp flashes not only short but is on for half the blinking time.
Photo:A flurry of flashlights is triggered, and it stops after a few seconds.

The decoder can be addressed with Motorola or DCC commands, depending on the selected firmware version. The various modes are called up by the corresponding digital address. For use without digital system, there is a firmware without decoder function. Here, the operational mode is changed by pressing the button on the PCB.

This kit contains SMD components. However, soldering SMD components is much easier than expected ( 'Der richtige Umgang mit SMD' (Source: ELVjournal, German language)). You can also purchase this kit with partially preinstalled SMD components (see 'Available Options' below).

Construction manual, schematics and PCB layouts are delivered on a CD-ROM, including firmware (if applicable) and a great deal of additional information.

This kit comes with a pre-programmed processor.
